Another cold blast on the way
Our temperatures, and really our entire forecast, will be on a bit of a roller coast for the next 5 days.
We woke up to chilly temperatures Thursday morning, with most of us in the 40s. We're heading to the low 70s for the afternoon, under a mostly sunny sky. Temperatures will continue to warm as we head towards the weekend.
Friday will be a bit warmer and in the mid 70s, but much bigger changes move in Saturday and Sunday. A big storm system will be developing and moving across the southern United States through the weekend, likely bringing a mix of rain, snow, and ice across the southern states. That same system will drag a cold front across Florida during the day on Sunday, bringing a good chance of rain and thunderstorms, and then of course very chilly air.
You will begin to notice the changes, during the day Saturday. Winds will start to come our of the south, and help to pull in warmer temperatures. We'll see a south wind Saturday and into Sunday, around 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 to 30.
Behind the cold front, temperatures will fall quickly! Our highs to start next week will head down into the 60s and 70s.
