Lynda Figueredo joined CBS12 as a multimedia journalist in June of 2015.
Lynda returns home to South Florida after working for five years in Savannah, Georgia, where she was the Weekend Anchor and Reporter at the CBS affiliate WTOC News.
In 2013, Lynda won an Emmy Award for her Breaking News coverage of a deadly wrong way crash on I95.
Before leaving her mark in Savannah, Lynda worked as a crime reporter and weekend anchor at WECT in Wilmington, North Carolina.
There, she earned a RTNDAC Award for her special report on "Beach Erosion."
While attending the University of Florida, Lynda worked as a reporter at WCJB.
She is happy to be back in West Palm Beach where she is close to her family. While attending the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts she traveled the country competing in Speech and Debate Tournaments and hosted a travel segment for kids.
Lynda is proud to be a Florida Gator and part of the Gator Nation!
She is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
In her spare time, she enjoys working out, running races, getting involved in the community and spending time with family, friends and her three mixed chihuahua's.
