What's Lincoln Thinkin' - Tebow is a premier attraction

Tim Tebow returns to Port St. Lucie

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls..

Step right up..

And see the 8th wonder of the world..

He cures the sick and heals the wounded..

Just don't ask him to hit a fastball.

Tim Tebow is once again in Port St. Lucie, and fans will line up to see the circus.

But unlike the now defunct Barnum and Bailey, where those elephants were actually good at putting on a show, Tebow still is not good at baseball.

At Low A Columbia, Tebow hit .222, with three home runs and 23 runs batted in in 63 games.

That's awful.. so why does he deserve a promotion?

Follow the money - the New York Mets own the St. Lucie Mets, they don't own the Columbia Fireflies. With Tebow, Columbia saw an attendance boost of 40 percent to an average of 5,300 fans.

The St. Lucie Mets average attendance is only 1,700.

Tebow has not proven to be even an average baseball player, but he's a premier attraction.

One day the Mets will give up on pretending he could be a Major League Player, and find something else for him to do - like walk the tightrope, or shoot him out a cannon.

The show must go on of course, and Tebowmania doesn't seem like it will ever end.
