It was another week, and another comeback for King's Academy. But this particular one in Tallahassee was the biggest win yet.

The Lions were down 28-14 at halftime to Florida High when, once again, former CBS12 Athlete of the Week Justin Wake stepped into action. Wake threw a 60 yard touchdown to Jayvon Wynn to make it 35-21, then special teams followed up with a successful onside kick. On the ensuing drive it was Wake finding Cory Croteau to cut the lead to 7.

Wake found Drew Luchey for a touchdown, and ran in another 13 yard score to give the Lions a 49-42 lead late, but they still weren't off the hook. Florida High scored a last minute touchdown, but painfully missed the extra point, clinching a 49-48 win and a trip the the Class 3A State Championship game. The Lions will take on Chaminade-Madonna for the title in Orlando next Saturday at 10 AM.
