Rory McIlroy's comeback from a rib injury will include the Honda Classic. The 2012 champion committed to February's tournament at PGA National Thursday.

McIlroy has missed three months, and did not play in last year's Honda because of the injury. The Palm Beach Gardens resident seems to be pushing it pretty hard as he returns to the game. He's currently scheduled to play 9 out of 10 weeks going into the Masters. McIlroy needs only to win a green jacket to complete the career slam.

In a release, Honda Classic Executive Ken Kennerly said: "It is great to see Rory getting back to being healthy again. He has been such a great friend to The Honda Classic through the years and is one of the game's premier players and a fan favorite. We hope The Honda Classic helps springboard him to a phenomenal year in 2018."
