For the first time in a long time on Wednesday, quarterback Ryan Tannehill was practicing without a knee brace on day two of organized team activities. The 6-year veteran has not played a single down since January 8th, 2017, after tearing his ACL at last years preseason camp.

Tannehill says while it's been a frustrating process, he is one-hundred percent confident that he and his knee are ready for action.

"Throughout the rehab process, you're pushing it." says Tannehill. "The knee has been tested to (the limit), pushing it as far as it can go. So when I'm out on the field I'm just playing football."

Even the new Dolphins players are impressed by Tannehill so far.

"He seems like a good leader," says Dolphins guard Josh Sitton. "he (commands) the huddles, the meetings, everything is looking positive" .

Head coach Adam Gase suggests that being on the sideline with a clipboard all last season may create a possitive hunger forTannehill.

"He can start over again," explains Gase. "And get back with the guys. There's that excitement."
