Former Port St. Lucie High School football star Albert Wilson is about to embark on his contract year with the Kansas City Chiefs and is hoping to secure the future of his career. But on Saturday the emphasis was on the future of the youth growing up in his old stomping ground.

Hundreds of kids gathered from across the Treasure Coast for the first-ever Albert Wilson Football Camp at Lawnwood Stadium in Fort Pierce.

The Chiefs wide receiver was joined by several of his NFL teammates to teach the game of football and develop teamwork skills. Wilson says giving advice to the kids in and around where he grew up is just a natural instinct.

"Hard work can pretty much get you anywhere," says Wilson, "if you stay focused and have a positive attitude with everything you do you're pretty much going to get where you want to go. It's my hometown, so what better place to give back than where I come from."

This was the first event for the newly-founded Albert Wilson Foundation.
