Many of the top football recruits in Palm Beach County signed their college letters of intent on Early Signing Day back in December. But Pahokee's Deejay Holmes' day came on Wednesday, what was traditional National Signing Day.

The Blue Devils' star pass rusher Holmes had five hats to chose from there, but it's Ole Miss getting one of the top pass rushing prospects in the country. Holmes broke Pahokee High School's sack record with 32.5 sacks as a senior in 2022.. The 6-foot-3, 230 pound Holmes was also had Colorado, UCF, USF, Cincinnati as choices, but ultimately went with Lane Kiffen's team.

Two of Deejay's Pahokee teammates also signed earlier in the day. Linebacker Jacorris Forema is heading to Tennessee, James Jackson signed with Middle Tennesee, and Bijay Bolden is signed sealed and delivered to Georgetown.

At Dwyer high school, eight student athletes put pen to paper, including Riley MacVane, who's on her way to the University of West Florida for swimming. Three baseball players signed, including Matt Davis heading to Florida State. Football also well represented, with Elijah Hopkins signing with Holy Cross and former CBS12 News high school athlete of the week Kyle McNeil on his way to FIU.

Thirteen smiling student athletes signed their letters of intent at Jupiter High School, with baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse and football all represented. Tyler Johnson is heading to the University of Tampa's Baseball Team.

Cardinal Newman High School had an impressive National Signing Day, with eight student athletes signing, and six of them from Jack Daniel's football Crusaders. Both Vinny Pierre and Chris Presto are heading to Southern Illinois. Steven Curtis signed with Illinois State, Sebastian Scott is off to Kentucky, Cole Dillon to South Florida, while defensive end Maverick Gracio is so excited to be playing at Pittburgh. Crusaders Lacrosse star Katie McCabe signed with Wellesley College in Mass, while Sydney Runk is swimming her way to Elms College.
