The Miami Heat fell short in Game 3, losing to the Denver Nuggets 109-94, leaving the Nuggets to take a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.

Jimmy Butler paced the Heat with 28 points, along with Bam Adebayo who scored 22 points. But they failed to match Nuggets' players Jamal Murray and Nikola Joki who scored over 30 points each for their team.

With just over three minutes left in the half, a dunk from Adebayo was able to put the Heat in the lead. But that didn't last long after Murray scored a three-pointer putting the Nuggets up for the rest of the game.

The Nuggets take the lead 2-1 as they head into Game 4 on Friday at 8:30 p.m. EST at the Kaseya Center.
