The Florida Atlantic Owls football team are hopeful that being chosen to play at the Boca Raton Bowl against the Akron Zips will give them a chance to play in front of a packed home stadium. They're looking forward to showing off their self dubbed "Lane Train" to a National TV audience.

Head Coach Lane Kiffin has led the Owls to nine straight wins in his first year as head coach, leading to some speculation that he could leave the team for a bigger program. FAU Athletic Director Pat Chun says he's pretty sure his prized head coach isn't going anywhere this off-season.

"Lane's a non-conformist," says Chun. "He's made it crystal clear with everyone (that) he's happy here. He knows we're going to be pretty good next year. He knows the quality of student athletes we have here."

Kiffin reportedly signed a 5-year contract when he arrived at FAU last off-season, and Chun says Kiffin is well aware that it's more than just the football players who have hopped on board the "Lane Train".

"He knows the support he has at this University," says Chun. "He has the student body in the palm of his hand." Chun added, "I take him at his word. Every time you hear him talk (about it), he loves being here."

The Boca Bowl kicks off at 7 PM on December 19th at FAU Stadium.
