    Dwyer wins big over Palm Beach Lakes in playoff edition of the Friday Night Rivals Blitz<p>{/p}

    "Big Tuna" was on the William T. Dwyer High School sidelines on Friday night as the Panthers took on Palm Beach Lakes in round two of the playoffs. Bill Parcells, the 2-time Super Bowl Champion as head coach of the New York Giants, got to see first hand why Dwyer is one of the favorites to win their third state championship, pulling away with a 55-27 win.

    The Class 7A playoff game was competitive to start, after Dwyer's Vern Padgett pulled off a pick six on the very first offensive play of the game. The Rams Vincent Starling then had some pay back, picking off Dwyer quarterback Gio Richardson, resulting in a touchdown on the ensuing drive. Dejuan Fripp then returned a fumble for a touchdown to give the Rams the lead.

    But current CBS12 Athlete of the Week Antavious Lane helped to change the momentum with his second fumble returned for a touchdown this season, a 56 yard return that gave the Panthers a lead they never gave up. Former CBS12 Athlete of the Week Gio Richardson stepped up big time, rushing for five touchdowns.
