Dwyer grad Parr transferring from Florida Atlantic

Dwyer grad Daniel Parr

Dwyer High grad Daniel Parr started this season as FAU's starting quarterback.

He will start next year somewhere else.

The sophomore QB announced on Twitter Friday that he is transferring from FAU, and will enroll at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Parr went 1-2 as a starter this year, and then was benched for Jason Driskel.

Parr tweeted: "I would like to say thank you to FAU and all of OwlNation for the last three years. I've learned so much and made so many brothers for life. I love all my teammates and wish nothing but the best for them. I would also like to thank Coach Partridge and his staff for believing in me and bringing me to FAU. That being said I feel like it's time for me to move on and do what's best for my future. I will be transferring to Duquesne University to finish my career as a student athlete. #GoDukes #GoOwls"

The former CBS12 Athlete of the Week won a state championship at Dwyer as a junior.
