Boldin treats youths from Pahokee as part of Summer Enrichment Program

Anquan Boldin was awarded the NFL Man of the Year Award, for all the work he does off the field.

Thursday he was at it again, treating kids from his hometown of Pahokee.

NFL teams are currently off for five weeks between minicamp and training camp. But Anquan Boldin has been off for longer than that. The 35 year old Super Bowl champion, remains a free agent. But that does not stop him from doing what he loves even more than football, helping kids in the community.

Not your typical Thursday business lunch at Cheesecake Factory in West Palm Beach. 30 Everglades Preparatory School students have scored a luncheon with Pahokee's own NFL star. A team effort from Anquan Boldin's Q81 Foundation and Florida Crystals Corporation, the 9th-12th graders traveled from Pahokee to West Palm Beach for a day long field trip - highlighted by an intimate opportunity to talk football and their futures with Boldin,

Boldin declined to do any interviews. No team has signed the veteran yet, but a number of rumors have swirled around the 35 year old receiver, about a possible landing spot before the season starts.
