Macy's has implemented several changes and sanitary procedures to ensure the safety and health of in-store shoppers.

People in the U.S. have seen a significant shift in their way of life—from teleworking to homeschooling to wearing masks in the grocery stores. Shopping is just one of the many things that have changed. Most people have not been able to shop as they usually would, due to mall closures and limited online options. However, some retailers are beginning to re-open. One of those stores is Macy's, but they're not just re-opening.

Macy's is introducing new precautions and shopping options to keep you and your family safe.

A safer shopping experience for everyone

To ensure the safety and health of in-store shoppers, Macy's has implemented a plethora of changes and sanitary procedures. Customers will notice hand sanitizer stations throughout the store. Plexiglass shields are installed on registers. Areas and surfaces with heavy traffic are cleaned thoroughly. Red markers placed promote social distancing and remind shoppers and colleagues to maintain a six-foot distance from each other. Colleagues conduct daily wellness checks and wear face masks while working to help prevent the spread of the virus.

New options for online shopping

For customers who are not comfortable shopping in-store, you can pick up your orders from their "At Your Service" desks, which are dedicated locations at key store entrances. You can return items here, too. This option is available online or by using their mobile app.

That's not all. For the first time, Macy's is proud to offer contact-less curbside pickup as an option. Select items online or on the mobile app are eligible for free drive-thru pickup Monday through Friday from 11 am to 5 pm. Some are available for the same day. When you arrive at the designated pickup location, call your local Macy's store. A Macy's colleague will confirm your order, place your merchandise in the trunk of your car, and limit contact between customers and assistance. Sounds pretty lovely, shopping without getting out of the car, right?

Giving back to the community

Macy's doesn't just provide a place for people to shop. They also give back to the community in multiple ways. It's a part of their DNA as a culture to support and serve the communities in which they live and work. Customers who shop in-store can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar (up to $.99) and donate the difference to their community food bank. In March, with the help of shoppers and colleagues, Macy's raised more than $14,000 for the local food banks in West Palm Beach.

Macy's is ready to welcome its customers back into their stores in the West Palm Beach community. Whether you choose to shop in-store, online, or take advantage of curbside pickup, Macy's has everything you need, from beauty to fashion and accessories to home for the season.
