Police say the individual behind a mass shooting threat in West Palm Beach is a 17 year old in Canada.

Police arrested the teen suspect on charges related to planning a mass shooting.

On Sunday morning, investigators in Miami first became aware of the online video made on the video chat platform called Omegle. It showed the teen flashing a gun and threatening to shoot people at an event in Palm Beach County. Investigators said the teen threatened the Pride on the Block event in West Palm Beach. Police had numerous officers, some in plain clothes, at the event as a precaution.

Police issued an alert over the weekend, asking the public's help in identifying the individual in the video. The suspect claimed he lived in Palm Beach County.

The West Palm Beach Police Department's Strategic Intelligence Center developed information that led to the suspect's identify and location.

Police in Toronto took the teen into custody. Canadian police recovered a gun and the video.

The FBI, NYPD, Miami police, West Palm Beach Police, Toronto Police Service and Peel Regional Police Service all helped out in the investigation.

Investigators say the unidentified teen will be brought back to West Palm Beach to face a charge of written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.
