A man wanted for a deadly home invasion on Thanksgiving in Texas is behind bars in Florida.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office captured the fugitive, identified as 38-year-old Jason Gibson, in Daytona Beach.

Authorities shared video of the dramatic takedown, made possible by a license plate reader which alerted deputies to the fugitive's stolen car.

Officers with Daytona Beach and Holly Hill and members of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force helped with the arrest.

Gibson is facing charges of homicide, aggravated assault, kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery with great bodily harm and larceny in the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of his wife and son in El Paso last week. He's now facing new charges in Florida of aggravated assault for targeting two police officers in his getaway attempt.
