Today's question comes from Rachel.

"Last year my husband and I fought so much during the holidays I thought it would be our last. Any suggestions on how to reduce the stress?"

There are three areas of concern. Finances, distribution of work and family interactions.

It's critically important to have discussions now about what your needs are in regard to the above. Ie., set a specific amount of spending per person and make the list together of who you're buying for. Make a list of the workload, ie., stocking stuffers, wrapping presents, and decide who will handle what. And discuss what you need from each other during those tense family moments with in-laws, etc.
