A family in Boynton Beach will soon have a new place to call home.

Bank of America employee volunteers will help the Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County finish the roof on a future new home for the family.

The homeowner, Gevala Antoine, was a school teacher for over 10 years before moving from Haiti to the U.S. with her four children. Her husband stayed behind until he gained citizenship. The family hoped to be reunited within a few years, but during the process of gaining citizenship, Gevala's husband died.

Gevala and her children lived with her mother in a one-bedroom apartment.

Gevala now dreams of returning to school to become a nurse after her children finish their college educations.

The volunteers will finish up the home on Wednesday and Thursday.
