Hot Pink Luncheon & Symposium raises more than $1M for breast cancer
PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
It's a tradition in pink on Palm Beach all to raise money and awareness about breast cancer in the 561.
CBS12 anchors Liz Quirantes and Jim Grimes were on hand for the 16th annual Hot Pink Luncheon & Symposium at The Breakers Palm Beach Thursday.
The luncheon put on by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation raised more than a million dollars for lifesaving research, a record for the event.
Host Aerin Lauder and philanthropists from across the Sunshine State were among the 450 guests gathered to hear from preeminent breast cancer researchers and enjoy a seasonal fashion presentation by event underwriter Neiman Marcus.
BCRF was founded by the late Palm Beach resident and passionate champion in the fight against breast cancer, Evelyn Lauder.
