Baby found in car chased by police in Los Angeles

(CBS Newspath | CNN Newsource)

A police chase in Southern California came to a dramatic and mysterious end.

Investigators detained a man and a woman at the end of the chase, and retrieved a baby in a car seat from the back of the car.

The question is whether the man is the same man caught on live video running from the car earlier in the chase.

That man, dressed in a blue shirt, parked his car and ducked into a multi-story building.

Minutes later, a car leaves the garage. The driver lets a woman get out from the back of the car. She goes to the ground with her hands up as the car speeds away.

Later, the second car comes to a stop. The driver gets out with his hands up. Police detain a woman from the car before discovering the baby.

The chase lasted for more than two hours and stretched across 3 counties, including Orange County and San Bernardino County. The car was reported stolen, according to KTLA.

This story will be updated with new information as soon as we get it.
