WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Two parents pleaded guilty to killing their 7-week-old daughter after the baby was found unconscious in D.C. on Christmas Day in 2016.
Trinity Jabore’s parents Trischelle Jabore and Jay Crowder were charged with their daughters death after she was found in the cold with broken ribs outside a Southwest apartment on Galveston Place.
Investigators say Jabore and Crowder did not provide enough food and nutrition for the baby and they neglected to obtain medical care.
Both parents pleaded guilty to charges of voluntary manslaughter, cruelty to children and food-stamp fraud. Crowder also pleaded guilty to a drug charge.
Doctors say Trinity suffered from malnutrition and hyponatremia, which is caused by low sodium levels.
The autopsy results also showed that she had no fat on her body when she died.
