The mother of a man shot by police at a mall in Alabama fainted during a community meeting.

According to CNN affiliate WBRC, family and clergy gathered for the meeting Tuesday night to discuss the shooting of 21-year-old Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford last week.

During Black Friday shopping last Thursday night, police responded to the Riverchase Galleria after receiving a report of an altercation and active shooter at the mall. Hoover Police initially called Bradford as the shooter and shot him as he fled the scene while carrying a handgun. Later, police clarified the statement to say Bradford likely didn't fire the shots at the mall that injured an 18-year-old man and 12-year-old girl, and that the real shooter remains on the loose.

Police told WBRC they promise transparency in the investigation.

Bradford's funeral is set for Saturday.
