BROOKLYN, Ia. (CBS12/AP) —
CBS News is reporting investigators believe they have found the body of 20-year-old Mollie Tibbetts.
The student from the University of Iowa vanished while jogging in Brooklyn in central Iowa on July 18. She was dog-sitting for her boyfriend and his brother who claimed to be out of town.
Authorities have not said where her body was found.
According to the Associated Press, a spokesman for Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa said a family friend told him authorities found a body. Greg Willey called it a "tough" ending to the search for Tibbetts. A news conference by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation planned a news conference sometime Tuesday afternoon.
Willey said the nearly $400,000 in reward money in the case will go toward information leading to a suspect and arrest.
