A 27-year-old woman from Okeechobee was killed in a head-on crash Wednesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened around 11:43 a.m.

Jamie Tindall-Woodham was driving on the northbound lanes of Glades Cutoff Road, west of I-95, when her 2017 Ford cargo van crossed over the intermittent yellow lines into the path of a semi tractor trailer heading south, the FHP said. The two vehicles crashed into each other, causing the van to catch fire with Woodham trapped inside.

Troopers say Woodham died at the scene while the driver of the semi, 66-year-old Heliodoro Balcazar of Davie, escaped with "non-incapacitating" injuries.
