Police identified a woman who drowned in a retention pond during a fight with another woman in Riviera Beach.

Police said the incident began Friday night when a group of women entered the Indian Trace Apartments to fight another group of women. The fight carried over to the back of the complex where two women went into the pond, but only one came out.

The dive team from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and a helicopter from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office responded to search the lake. They were unable to find anything due to the depth of the water and other dangerous conditions, according to a spokeswoman for Riviera Beach police.

Crews returned to the pond Saturday morning, where they recovered the body of 21-year-old Liane Gibson.

A spokeswoman for police says no charges have been filed at this point as the investigation is ongoing.
