Woman arrested for making threats on Sheriff's Office page

A woman is behind bars after making threats to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page.

Deputies arrested 66-year-old Jill Hoffman after she made a series of aggressive and threatening comments under the moniker "Michael R Reed."

According to the arrest report, on a post about the death of K9 Cigo, the comments where aggressive in nature and blamed the death on members of the Sheriff's office.

Deputies found over 100 comments by Hoffman under "Michael R. Reed."

"How about building yourselves coffins and jumping in them. You're going to need them," Hoffman wrote on a post where a deputy built a North Pole mailbox for children.

In a post that announced the memorial service location Hoffman wrote, "great venue for a mass shooting. You don't have the sense you were born with."

Deputies charged Hoffman with written threats to kill or conduct a mass shooting. She is expected to make her first appearance in front of a judge on Sunday January 13, and is currently being held without bond.
