An event police labeled dangerous to public safety hit the streets of South Florida on the Martin Luther King holiday.

Dozens of people zoomed through the streets, popping wheelies, and weaving through traffic as part of the Wheels up, guns down event.

Miami-Dade Police spent the past week telling the community not to ride their ATVs on the streets because it's illegal.

As of mid-Monday afternoon, police seized 19 ATVs and dirt bikes, three firearms and made eight arrests.
