Authorities released dramatic video of a shooting and takedown of an attempted murder suspect.

Deptuies said the suspect opened fire on deputies in DeLand Monday afternoon.

The suspect, identified by the Volusia County Sheriff's Office as 33-year-old Dillon Parker, was wanted on an attempted murder charge for a shooting in DeLeon Springs. The Lake County Sheriff's Office alerted Volusia County that Parker was driving into their jurisdiction. The sheriff's office said deputies spotted his car when they say he tried to ram a deputy off the road. Deputies put down stop sticks to bring his car to a halt in a ditch.

At that moment, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said Parker opened fire on deputies. A responding deputy returned fire. A DeLand Police officer also fired on Parker with a rifle.

Parker suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and leg, the sheriff's office said. Crews rushed him to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach where he remained in critical condition. He's expected to survive.

Parker is also facing charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and felony battery. He also has a warrant for bond revocation on a previous charge of fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement.

The law enforcement officers involved in the shooting are on paid administrative leave, which is protocol after police shootings. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office identified its deputies involved as 31-year-old Wesley Blum and 47-year-old Kevin Moss. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is handling the investigation, the sheriff's office said.
