FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBS12) — Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue crews responded to a yacht fire in Fort Lauderdale Friday.
According to firefighters, crews responded to the area of Marina Bay Drive for an approximately 60-foot yacht fire. The yacht is out of the water.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire, according to a local new station, but the smoke was seen all the way from I-95.
The video of the incident shows the yacht completely engulfed in flames and black smoke.
According to the report, workers were on board the boat when the fire broke out, but escaped without injuries. It remains unclear if the owner of the boat is aware of the fire.
