Former American Heritage-Delray star running back Greg Bryant Jr. was found shot in a car on I-95 Saturday morning.

At 4:45 a.m. a car was seen stopped in the moving lanes of traffic on I-95 between Forest Hill and Southern Boulevard.

West Palm Beach Police say Bryant, 21, and Maurice Grover, 25, were found in the car and both men had been shot.

They were taken to St. Mary's Medical Center, where Bryant remains in critical condition. He was identified as the driver of the vehicle.

Grover, who was in the passenger seat, had minor injuries.

Bryant is the former star running back with American Heritage-Delray Beach Football. He started his college career at Notre Dame, then transferred to the University of Alabama at Birmingham last year.

The incident caused WPB Police to completely shut down all southbound lanes on I-95 from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday. Lanes were reopened around 8 a.m.

Detectives are seeking witnesses. If you have any information, please call Detective Rob McGinley at (561) 822-1689.
