Tracking high rain chances and a tropical disturbance

Deep tropical moisture will continue to stream overhead right into the weekend. We can expect plenty of clouds each day. Showers and storms will be scattered around on Thursday, most notably in the afternoon hours. Storm chances: 60%. Friday looks most active with a 70% storm chance. Our weekend looking 50/50 with some sun/clouds and scattered storms. Much drier air moves in for the start of the work week with rain chances down to 20%.

Meanwhile, we're still watching a tropical disturbance in the Western Caribbean. Strong upper level winds and interaction with the Yucatan Peninsula will preclude development over the next few days. As the system emerges over the SW Gulf of Mexico on the weekend there's a small 20% chance of development. No threat here in South Florida.
