Teen threatens to shoot students at Seminole Ridge High School, deputies say
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
A 17-year-old is accused of threatening to shoot up Seminole Ridge High School.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office booked Dovontae Lang into the Palm Beach County Jail on Sunday.
The investigation began Oct. 1 when five students told investigators that Lang made threats over Snapchat.
One student, according to the arrest report, said Lang threatened physical violence in the past after becoming upset over a girl. A second student showed investigators a picture reportedly sent by Lang via Snapchat which showed a black handgun and two pistol magazines. One student believed Lang was on his way to school to shoot him. A third student said Lang, via Snapchat, threatened to bring a gun to school in his backpack. Another student told investigators Lang told him he was going to shoot at least three of those who received the threatening Snapchats, as well as others at school that he didn't like.
Lang remains at the Palm Beach County Jail.
