MIAMI (CBS12) — A 16-year-old boy is facing murder charges in the shooting death of a 31-year-old woman in Miami.
The shooting, caught on camera, happened the day after Christmas last year at an apartment complex on NW 20 Avenue. Miami-Dade Police said Dyenette Early was sitting outside her apartment around 1 a.m. when shots rang out. Investigators said the surveillance video showed three people get out of a car. Two of the individuals opened fire on Early. She later died from her injuries.
Investigators used the video to identify and address one individual. He's been identified as 16-year-old James John Wooden of Miami. He's being held on a charge of second degree murder with a weapon.
Police are looking for a second individual who wore a black shirt blue jeans, black gloves, and a black cap. He's considered armed and dangerous.
