Police in Tampa are treating the latest slaying in Seminole Heights as being related to the other killings that have rocked the neighborhood since early October.

Investigators said someone came up behind 60-year-old Ronald Felton as he crossed the street and shot him to death.

Police received a call of shots fired at 4:51 a.m., and the officers who responded seconds later found his body in the street.

A witness told police had officers arrived seconds earlier, they may have captured the suspect.

Tampa police officers are investigating a shooting in Seminole Heights, the same area where three other people were shot and killed last month.

The scene is just blocks away from a memorial honoring the victims of the shootings last month.

Police say they are treating the shooting as if it is connected to the three murders in October because they do not have a motive.

Residents are asked to stay inside as police check cars and go through the Seminole Heights neighborhood.
