Suspect in church vandalism arrested

Police arrested a suspect in a church vandalism in Port St. Lucie.

The suspect is identified as 29-year-old Christopher Joseph Trout of Port St. Lucie.

He's accused of vandalizing the New Jerusalem Church of God last week.

The vandal is caught on camera smashing two surveillance cameras with a tire iron, while wearing a distinctive Ohio State University T-shirt.

Port St. Lucie police said tips from the community led to his arrest. Authorities also found a tire iron and Ohio State shirt in his car.
