Small plane makes emergency landing on Florida beach

DANIA BEACH, Fla. — There are no reports of injuries after a small plane made an emergency landing in Dania Beach.

The plane landed in the sand along the shoreline of a local state park Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say the pilot was the only on onboard.

Broward County emergency responders and a U.S. Coast Guard vessel came to the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) identified the plane as a single-engine Cessna 172.
