FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBS12) — A small jet with at least three people on board went off the runway and onto the grass Friday afternoon, WSVN reported.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport around 3:30 p.m.
A Gulfstream G100 business jet ran off the end of Runway 27 at the airport while trying to take off, according to WSVN. The plane was supposed to be heading to Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetia, Venezuela.
No injuries were reported.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating what caused the plane to run off the runway.
