Semi fire on I-95 leads to fire rescue dispatch in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A semi fire caused by a brake fire led to a fire rescue dispatch in Fort Pierce on Saturday night.

According to the St. Lucie County Fire Department, several units were dispatched to a semi fire at mile marker 134 on I-95 shortly after 9 PM.

The trailer carrying oranges and lemons was detached from the cab prior to firefighters' arrival.

The brake fire extended into the trailer -- resulting in the semi fire.
