Security ramping up as President Trump set to arrive

President Trump to make first visit of 2019 to Palm Beach (WPEC)

Security measures are ramping up along Southern Blvd in West Palm Beach Friday as the area readies for the arrival of President Trump.

Secret Service agents as well as local law enforcement staff are busy setting up security measures outside Trump's home, Mara-lago.

On the West Palm Beach side of the Southern bridge, deputies have set up barricades, as traffic patterns are expected to change late Friday afternoon.

This will be the first time this year Mr. Trump will arrive in Palm Beach. He was expected to spend the Christmas holiday’s but canceled his plans and stayed in Washington D.C. because of the partial government shutdown.

There’s no exact time when Mr. Trump is due to arrive at Palm Beach International Airport but in the past Air Force One is landed around 6 p.m..

Mr. Trump visited his home at Mara- Lago, 14 times last year.
