
BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A second teen is in jail in connection to the killing of a man near Boca Raton.
According to the indictment, 17-year-old George Dixon is facing charges of first degree murder with a firearm, burglary of an occupied dwelling while armed, aggravated assault with a firearm, and a delinquent in possession of a firearm.
Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said Dixon and 17-year-old Roosevelt Sifford broke into the home of Carlos Dacosta, 53, on May 3. While attempting to burglarize the home, deputies said Dixon and Sifford shot Dacosta. Dacosta died from his injures on May 9.
Dacosta lived in the Amberwoods of Boca Community, located near the intersection on Powerline Road and Palmetto Park Road.
