A 21-year-old woman was killed Thursday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.

The crash happened in the westbound lanes of State Road 60, east of Blue Cypress Lake Road just after 10 a.m.

A sport utility vehicle, driven by a 48-year-old man from Sebastian, was heading west on State Road 60 and drove onto the north grass shoulder, according to FHP. He overcorrected to the left and lost control of the car.

The vehicle went across the westbound lanes onto the south grass shoulder, then overturned, according to FHP. The vehicle came to a stop, partially in the outside lane and on the north grass shoulder of State Road 60.

One of the passengers, a 21-year-old woman from Sebastian, died, according to FHP. The other two passengers, a 55-year-old man and 18-year-old woman from Sebastian, only suffered minor injuries, along with the driver.
