Road closed due to fire in South Bay

SOUTH BAY, Fla. (CBS12) — Crews responded to a call about a commercial building fire on US Highway 27 in South Bay at 4:46 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, once on the scene, the responding crew reported smoke in the distance and found a large commercial building that was 50 percent engulfed in flames.

Firefighters immediately attacked the fire, which is currently extinguished.

Crews are performing overhaul operations, and reopening the road.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire, and no report of the cause of the fire has been released.
