Remains found by construction crew are human, sheriff's office says
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) —
The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office confirms to CBS12 the remains found by construction crews near Port St. Lucie are human.
The construction crew found the remains around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday near U.S. 1 and Kitterman Road.
According to deputies, the gender of the remains is still unknown at this time. Chief Deputy Wilson says the remains could have been there for over a year.
