Real Housewives star to plead guilty to lesser charge
PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
Luann De Lesseps, a star of The Real Housewives of New York City, will make a plea deal.
Her attorney, Doug Duncan, made the announcement in court Friday morning.
Duncan says De Lesseps, arrested Christmas Eve last year at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach on charges of disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a law enforcement officer, will enter a plea to a lesser misdemeanor charge. Police said she threatened to kill a second police officer while being placed into a patrol car.
The judge set a court date for July 25. She will plead guilty in absentia and the adjudication will be withheld, her attorney says.
