Flood advisories extended
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
The areal flood advisories for Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties have been extended until 10:30 a.m.
Monday morning will look much like every other this past week, a soggy and cloudy mess. But there may be relief for South Florida by late in the day.
Rain chances stay high during Monday's morning hours, with 70 percent chance of showers, with some heavier downpours and isolated storms.
Another inch of water might accumulate in some areas. The good news is most of the rain will take place in the morning hours, with drier air working into the area by the afternoon and evening.
This means the chances of rain will shrink. This reduced chance of rain will stay in place through Thursday, with a better chance of sunshine.
Late in the week, more tropical moisture will return with rain and storms threatening Memorial Day weekend festivities.
