Police: Delray man holds woman at knifepoint, demands syringe
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
Police were called to a Delray Beach residence where a man had reportedly threatened a woman with a knife. Officers surrounded the home on SW 9th Court on Thursday after being told that a man had barricaded himself inside . The suspect, Brann S. Trosclair, 27, was in a locked room along with his girlfriend. Trosclair was talking to police through the locked door when he attempted to evade the police through a bedroom window. He was spotted by officers and tried to climb back into the house via the same window. Trosclair was tazed and subdued as he tried to close the window on the police. Later, a sworn statement from the victim who had been threatened by Trosclair, detailed how she had been pushed around the room and had a knife held to her throat. The victim said Trosclair had demanded a syringe. She had given him a syringe and managed to leave the room to scream for help.
Trosclair is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon W/O Intent To Kill and Simple Battery.
