BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A 47-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly dragging a police officer with his car, Boynton Beach police said.
During a traffic stop on Jan. 17, Timothy Tristan Jones pinned a Boynton Beach police officer inside his car and started driving away, dragging her 350 feet down the road before she could free herself, according to police. The officer sustained road rash and was treated at the hospital. Her name is being withheld because of Marsy’s Law.
Jones later turned himself in.
He is facing charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer with a vehicle, aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest with violence and habitual traffic offender.
