Police have a person of interest and a possible car in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Riviera Beach.

Police said a gold or tan colored late 1990's to early 2000's Lincoln Town Car or Lincoln Continental hit a pedestrian on the bridge early Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as 78-year-old Eugene William Murphy Jr. Police said he was jogging in the bike lane when a car hit him.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of the Blue Heron Bridge for several hours.

A spokeswoman for police said investigators have a possible person of interest as the driver in the case. They are looking for that person. The car most likely has damage to the front passenger side, and may have damage to the windshield, front bumper, and front passenger door.
