PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (WSVN/CNN Newsource) — The pilot of a small plane died Monday afternoon when the plane crashed on North Perry Airport property.
Fire Rescue crews say the plane experienced engine trouble on takeoff and attempted to return and land on one of the runways.
The identity of the pilot is unknown.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirms the pilot was the only person aboard. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
