A woman who worked at a Pet Supermarket in Boynton Beach is facing fraud charges.

Boynton Beach Police said Jamie Beth Ceaser, 39, stole more than $1800 from her employer earlier this year.

According to the report, the investigation began in August when a supervisor told police she believed an employee had been fraudulently returning store merchandise for the past several months and pocketing the money. Another employee noticed a discrepancy and told the supervisor. The supervisor began to look into all the items being returned and noticed one customer who bought the same kind of dog food over an extended period of time suddenly returned it. The supervisor contacted the customer who said they never returned the dog food.

Police said the supervisor began looking into all the returns involving Ceaser. According to the report, the supervisor found 23 suspicious returns by Ceaser, amounting to $1883.57. Police tried to talk to Caeser about the transactions on three different occasions but police said she didn't respond.

Police booked her into the Palm Beach County Jail on Thursday. She's free on bond.
